Acropolis Ticket Price 2025 Adult: €30 Entry Fee and Booking Guide
Do you need to book tickets in advance to visit the Acropolis in Athens?
You can buy Acropolis entrance tickets at the site on the day of your visit.
However, during busy times, entry restrictions may apply, and you may need to wait a long time in line to buy tickets.
If your travel schedule is already decided, we recommend buying your tickets online in advance.
The ticket price is the same whether you buy tickets on site or online.

Acropolis Ticket Prices (From April 2025)
From April 2025, the previously available 7 sites combined ticket has been discontinued.
*This is part of the acropolis ticket price change april 2025.
Currently, the only ticket you can buy is the Acropolis entrance ticket.
In addition, the winter discount system has been abolished, and ticket prices have increased significantly. Please be careful.

Free Entry Days for the Acropolis (2026)
The Acropolis offers five special free entry days each year.
Please refer to the list below for 2026.

Please note that these free entry days are extremely crowded, so it may be difficult to enjoy sightseeing at a relaxed pace.
Personally, I recommend avoiding free entry days if you want a smoother and more comfortable visit to the Acropolis.

How to Buy Acropolis Tickets Online 2025
You can buy Acropolis tickets from the official website, Hellenic Heritage.
When you open the link on your smartphone, you will see the next screen. Select your preferred date from the calendar, then tap Continue to proceed.

Then, choose your preferred visiting time slot and tap “Continue”.

Next, select the ticket type.
If you live outside the EU, entry is free for visitors aged 18 and under. If you are 19 or older, the ticket price is €30.
In this case, please select “General Admission”.

After setting the number of tickets you need, tap “Add to Basket”.
You will then see a summary of your selected tickets, as shown below. If all the details are correct, tap “Checkout” to proceed with the purchase.

Next, enter your email address.
The email address you register here will be used to send the payment confirmation email and the ticket PDF file after purchase.
*No promotional or marketing emails will be sent.

After entering your email address and selecting your country of residence, check the box to agree to the terms and conditions, then tap “Payment”.
The credit card payment screen will appear.
Once the payment is completed, your purchased ticket details will be sent to the email address you registered.

On the day of your visit, simply show the PDF ticket on your smartphone at the Acropolis entrance.

The staff will scan the QR code, and you can enter without any problem.

Important Notes When Buying Acropolis Tickets Online
Before buying Acropolis tickets online, please check the following important points after the acropolis ticket price change april 2025, when prices increase to €30.
- No changes or cancellations after booking
- Entry is allowed only within 15 minutes before or after your reserved time
- Tickets bought from non-official websites are usually more expensive
- About 12 minutes on foot from the nearest metro station to the entrance

The Acropolis has strict entry time rules.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your reserved time, you may be refused entry. Also, if you arrive too early, you will not be allowed to enter.
During the summer season, it can get extremely hot. There is almost no shade inside the Acropolis, so please bring water with you to prevent heat exhaustion.
Staying hydrated is very important when visiting the Acropolis!
