Batumi is Georgia’s second-largest city and a popular Black Sea resort. With its seaside promenade, relaxed atmosphere, and comfortable summer weather, it’s one of my favorite places in Eastern Europe for remote work.

I stayed in Batumi several times while traveling as a digital nomad and worked from cafés throughout the city. In this guide, I share six cafés that I personally used and found suitable for working with a laptop, based on factors such as WiFi, seating, atmosphere, and overall comfort.

I last visited Batumi in 2025. While new cafés may have opened since then, every place in this guide is based on my own experience and remains a great option for remote work.

Here are my favorite cafés for remote work in Batumi. The table below compares each café so you can quickly find the best place to work with your laptop.

1. Nord Coffee Base – Best Overall Café for Laptop Work

Nord Coffee Base is my favorite laptop-friendly café in Batumi. Although it’s a little hidden from the main streets, it’s well worth seeking out if you’re looking for a comfortable place to work remotely.

The café opened in 2024 and quickly became one of the city’s best spots for specialty coffee. One thing that stood out during my visits was the warm hospitality. The staff greeted every customer with Gamarjoba, creating a welcoming atmosphere that I rarely experienced elsewhere in Georgia.

The spacious second floor, high ceilings, and comfortable seating make it an excellent place to spend several hours working with a laptop. Combined with reliable WiFi and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s the café I recommend most in Batumi for remote work.

2. BK Restaurant– Best Café Restaurant for Laptop Work

BK Restaurant is a stylish café restaurant located in Old Batumi, just a short walk from Europe Square. Although it has the atmosphere of an upscale restaurant, the café menu is surprisingly affordable, making it a great place to work while enjoying good food and coffee.

If you’re planning to use your laptop, I recommend sitting on the second floor. The seating is more spacious and comfortable, creating a relaxed environment for remote work.

One of my favorite menu items is the cottage cheese and raspberry pancake, which pairs perfectly with an iced coffee. While a full meal with wine can be more expensive, the café menu offers excellent value.

I’ve visited this café many times, and it’s one of the places I always return to whenever I’m in Batumi. If I had to recommend just one café restaurant in the city, BK Restaurant would be at the top of my list.

3. MOK coffee– Best Spacious Café for Remote Work

MOK Coffee is located on the third floor of Grand Mall, which opened in 2024. With plenty of seating, free WiFi, and a spacious interior, it’s one of the most comfortable cafés in Batumi for working with a laptop.

Although the café has relatively low Google ratings, I found that this is largely due to how the ordering system works. The interior looks like a full-service café, so many first-time visitors naturally sit down and wait for table service. However, orders must be placed at the counter, which often leads to confusion.

For remote work, this self-service style actually has an advantage. After ordering your drink, the staff rarely interrupt you, making it easy to stay focused for several hours.

If you’re looking for a quiet café with plenty of space and reliable WiFi, MOK Coffee is an excellent choice.

4. Rhino Coffee – Best Specialty Café with Large Tables

Rhino Coffee is a modern specialty café that opened in 2023. If you’re planning to work with a laptop, make sure you visit this branch, as another café from the same group, RHINO COFFEE, is located nearby but is not suitable for long laptop sessions.

The two locations are often confused on Google Maps, and some photos and reviews are mixed together. I recommend double-checking the location before visiting.

Inside, you’ll find spacious tables and a comfortable atmosphere that works well for remote work. During weekdays, I found it easy to settle in and work for a few hours. However, the café becomes much busier on weekends and public holidays, so visiting on a weekday or in the morning is a better option.

Coffee and desserts are excellent, although prices are slightly higher than at many other cafés in Batumi.

5. Coffeetopia – Best Quiet Café in Old Batumi

Coffeetopia is located in Old Batumi, just a one-minute walk from BK Restaurant. Although it’s in one of the busiest areas of the city, the café offers a surprisingly relaxed atmosphere for working with a laptop.

Most customers prefer the outdoor terrace, especially on warm days, so the indoor seating is usually quieter. During my visits, I found it easy to concentrate and work comfortably without too much noise.

If you’re planning to visit, I recommend ordering a hot cappuccino, which was one of my favorites in Batumi. I also tried several iced drinks, but the hot coffee was noticeably better.

With its central location, reliable WiFi, and peaceful indoor seating, Coffeetopia is a great choice if you want to work between sightseeing in Old Batumi.

6. Literary Cafe

Inside Literary Cafe, there are tables with tablecloths and comfortable sofa seats, giving the place a slightly elegant atmosphere. Even so, the cakes are reasonably priced.

The most recommended cake is the Napoleon cake.

Wi-Fi is available, so you can work there as a digital nomad.

I am not sure whether I visited for the cakes or for work, but it was one of the cafes I went back to many times during my stay in Batumi.

In addition to cakes, they also serve food such as pizza, pasta, and khachapuri.
