Looking for laptop-friendly cafes in Belgrade where you can work remotely?

I spent about one month living and working in Belgrade, Serbia, and visited many cafés while working online.

In this guide, I’ll share the laptop-friendly cafes that I personally used and recommend, based on my own experience.

Laptop-Friendly Cafes in Belgrade
  1. Kafeterija Magazin 1907
  2. Coffeedream
  3. Single Origin

These cafés offer a comfortable atmosphere for remote work, reliable Wi-Fi, and plenty of space to work with your laptop.

One thing to keep in mind is that smoking is still allowed inside many cafés in Serbia, which may not be ideal for non-smokers.

Kafeterija Magazin 1907– Best Laptop-Friendly Cafe in Belgrade

Kafeterija Magazin 1907 is one of my favorite places to work remotely in Belgrade.

The café is spacious, with three open floors and plenty of seating, making it easy to find a comfortable place to work even during busy hours.

The Wi-Fi was reliable during my visits, and I had no trouble working for several hours with my laptop.

One thing to keep in mind is that smoking is allowed inside, and the background music can be quite lively.
*If you don’t mind these, it’s an excellent café for remote work.

Kafeterija is also one of the largest coffee chains in Serbia, and this location offers a wide selection of coffee drinks.

Coffeedream – A Comfortable Laptop-Friendly Cafe in Belgrade

CoffeeDream is one of the largest coffee chains in Serbia and an excellent choice if you’re looking for a comfortable place to work with your laptop.

I visited this location several times during my stay in Belgrade and found it ideal for remote work. The Wi-Fi was stable, power outlets were available, and the café had plenty of seating.

Although the café looks relatively small from the outside, it has a spacious basement floor with a quiet and cozy atmosphere. I found it much easier to concentrate there than in the busier seating area upstairs.

  • Location: GoogleMap
  • Opening Hours: 7:30-24:00
  • Wifi pass: No password
  • Power Outlets:Available
  • Smoking:Not allowed indoors

Another advantage is that smoking is not allowed indoors, which is uncommon in Serbia and makes the environment much more comfortable for non-smokers.

③ Single Origin– A Stylish Cafe for Remote Work Near Saint Sava Temple

Single Origin is one of the best laptop-friendly cafés in Belgrade if you prefer a modern and relaxed atmosphere.

Located just a three-minute walk from the famous Saint Sava Temple, this café is a convenient place to work before or after sightseeing.

During my visit, I found the Wi-Fi reliable, the seating comfortable, and the spacious interior suitable for working with a laptop for a few hours.

The café also serves excellent coffee and a well-prepared food menu, making it a great option if you plan to stay for lunch while working.

Another advantage is its convenient location. A bus stop is located just outside the café, making it easy to reach from Belgrade city center by public transportation.

Working in Cafes? Use a VPN for Secure WiFi

Free WiFi in cafes is convenient for digital nomads and travelers, but it is not secure.

Anyone can connect to the same network, which creates risks for your personal data.

When you use café WiFi without protection, the following problems can occur:

  • Credit card and bank information can be stolen
  • Login IDs and passwords for email, SNS, and cloud services may be leaked
  • Online banking activity and account access can be monitored
  • Emails, attachments, and private messages can be intercepted
  • Stolen information may later cause unauthorized credit card charges

To reduce these risks, always use a VPN when working on café WiFi. A VPN encrypts your internet connection and protects your data from being seen or intercepted by others.

VPN apps are easy to install and simple to use. With just one tap, you can secure your connection and work safely in cafes anywhere in the world.
