How to Get from Tirana City Center to the Bus Terminal
You can take a direct bus to the main bus terminal from a bus stop near Skanderbeg Square, the central square of Tirana.

Two convenient bus stops are:
- 9 Katëshet B
: A bus stop located near the airport bus stop. - Muzeu Kombëtar B
: A bus stop behind the National Historical Museum, on the main road side.
As of 2026, bus routes inside Tirana are shown on Google Maps. You can take bus No. 4 or No. 5B to reach the bus terminal.

There are also clear signs at the bus stops, so it is easy to find the right place.
The buses going to the terminal are large two-section buses. After you get on the bus, a staff member will come to collect the fare. The ticket costs 40 lek, and you need to pay in cash.
The bus terminal is located a little outside the city center, and the bus ride takes about 30 minutes.

When searching for the terminal on Google Maps, type South and North Albania Bus Terminal. You can tap the link to check the location on the map.
However, as of March 2026, this bus terminal is closed.
But do not worry.
A new bus terminal is currently being built, and a temporary terminal is operating right next to the old one.

So if you are traveling from the city center by bus, you can still use the closed terminal location on Google Maps as a landmark.
The bus terminal itself is a large open area with many buses parked in lines. Each bus has a destination, and drivers often call out the city name.

You do not need to buy a ticket in advance. Just find the bus going to your destination and get on.
After the bus leaves, a staff member will come to collect the fare.
*Cash only. Credit cards are not accepted.
